Entebbe Municipality has pledged a piece of land measuring approximately half an acre to Amicaall Uganda to build its headquarters. This pledge was announced at the end of the 12th Annual General Meeting held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
The chairman of Amicaall Uganda, Soroti Mayor Alfred Martin Aruo made the announcement. “We are now going to work on the necessary formalities,” he said amid applause from the stakeholders. The country director of Amicaall Uganda, Titus Twesige, thanked urban leaders, development partners, and the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni for their support to Amicaall Uganda. “We would like to thank Entebbe Municipality for offering the land on which our headquarters will be built,” Mr Twesige said.

President Yoweri Museveni, while presiding over the 4th Urban Leaders Forum organised by Amicaall Uganda on Tuesday pledged Ushs 1 billion as government contribution to the construction of the organisation’s headquarters. Entebbe Municipality offered land to construct the headquarters.
The 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Amicaall Uganda has adjourned after stakeholders deliberated on issues pertaining to urban leaders’ involvement in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Amicaall Uganda Chairperson and Soroti Mayor, Alfred Martin Aruo paid tribute to stakeholders for oversight and technical guidance provided over the past year. “I also take this opportunity to thank the Amicaall secretariat for their commitment and hard work,” he said.
